Sharing Terms

These terms apply when you share a recipe online from the X Sim Lab app. Sharing is entirely optional: until you choose to go online and publish, the app stays on your device and these terms do not apply to you. By publishing a recipe to x-simlab.app, you agree to the terms below.

You alone are responsible for everything you upload. A “recipe” here means the content you choose to publish: its title, description, the film-simulation settings, and any author handle and bio you set.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for everything you publish. By publishing, you confirm that your recipe — including its title, description, and any handle or bio — does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights, and does not contain unlawful, offensive, abusive, or hateful content.

Do not use other people's trademarks, brand names, or copyrighted text, and do not use profanity or otherwise objectionable language. If you do not have the right to share something, do not upload it. Any claim arising from content you publish is your responsibility, not ours.

License you grant

So the sharing feature can work, when you publish a recipe you grant X Sim Lab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it through the app and website, and to let other users view, copy, upvote, and apply it. This license exists only to operate the sharing feature.

Public visibility

Recipes you publish are public. Anyone can read them on x-simlab.app and in the app, without an account. If you set an author handle and bio, those are shown publicly alongside your recipes. Publishing under a handle is not anonymous in practice: it links your recipes together under a name you have chosen.

How uploads are identified

There are no accounts. Instead, each installation of the app holds a pseudonymous identity, and everything you publish is signed with it. This lets us attribute recipes to a user and, where necessary, block a user who breaks these terms — without us knowing who you are. This identity is not personal data and is not shared publicly.

No personal data

Do not put personal data into anything you publish. Titles, descriptions, handles, and bios should not contain real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other information that identifies you or anyone else. Once published, this content is public.

Compatibility disclaimer

Shared recipes are user-generated. We do not review them and do not guarantee that any recipe is correct, supported, or safe for any particular camera body or firmware version. Apply shared recipes at your own discretion. X Sim Lab is not affiliated with or endorsed by FUJIFILM Corporation.

Acceptable use

When sharing, you agree not to publish content that:

• infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
• uses other people's trademarks, brand names, or copyrighted text;
• is unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, abusive, or uses profanity;
• contains personal data about yourself or others; or
• is spam, or attempts to manipulate, abuse, or disrupt the service.

Reporting and removal

We may remove any recipe, text, handle, or bio that violates these terms, or that we consider infringing, offensive, or abusive — at any time, without warning and without notice. We may also block any user who abuses the service.

The app provides a Report link on shared recipes. To report content or request removal, use that link or email report@x-simlab.app.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, the app will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before you continue sharing. Changes are posted on this page with an updated revision date.
